
The International Sport Council of Abu Dhabi, the organizer of the United Arab Emirates, presented the routes of the men’s edition of the United Tour 2025, as well as the third women’s United Tour, which will take place next February with the participation of the best professional riders and teams.
The United Tour in the previous editions is the only one in the world of the eastern region on the International Cycling Union graph. The United Tour competitions for women in 2025 will take place from February 6 to 9 through four stages, starting in Dubai and finishing in Abu Dhabi over a total distance of 540 km. As for the United Tour for men, it will take place from February 17 to 23 over seven stages, starting at Zafra and finishing in Al-Ain, including four fast stages, two hilly stages, and a time trial stage of 12.2 km in length. The total distance of the United Tour this year is 1013 km.
The women’s marathon of the United Tour will start on Thursday, February 6 in Dubai, specifically, it will be the Dubai Police HQ, and will proceed to Dubai Port at a distance of 149 km, after which the second stage will be on Friday, February 7, in the Zafra area, starting from the Zafra fortress and finishing in the Al-Marfa district with a distance of 111 km. The third stage (hilly) will occur in Al-Ain on Saturday, February 8, over a distance of 152 km, starting from the Al-Mujayb Palace and finishing at the summit of Jebel Hafit, and the final stage of the women’s tour will take place in Abu Dhabi on Sunday, February 9, starting at the Fatima bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports and finishing at the Abu Dhabi Corniche at a distance of 128 km.
The United Tour 2025 (men) will start on Monday, February 17 with the first stage in Zafra, extending 138 km from the sunny station (Shams) in the Zaid district to the Liwa palace, after which the second stage on February 18 will take place on the island of Khadira in Abu Dhabi, which represents the stage kilometers in a length of 12.2 km. The third stage will take place in Ras-al-Khaimah on Wednesday, February 19, to the summit of Jebel Jais over a distance of 179 km, and the tour will continue to the fourth stage on Thursday, February 20, starting from the Kadfa beach in Fujairah to Umm-al-Qaiwain at a distance of 181 km. The fifth stage will take place in Dubai on Friday, February 21, starting from the American University in Dubai to Hamdan bin Mohammed University over a distance of 160 km, and the sixth stage in Abu Dhabi at a distance of 167 km from the cycling club building in Abu Dhabi to the Khadira island Corniche at a distance of 149 km.
The tour will conclude with the seventh and final stage in the Al-Ain district, covering a distance of 176 km, where the race takes place in the mountains and starts from the Hazaa bin Zayed Stadium, passing through the significant places of Al-Ain and finishing at the summit of Jebel Hafit.
The General Secretary of the Sports Council of Abu Dhabi, Aref Al-Awani, emphasized that "the routes of 2025 cover a large part of the territory and attractions of the United Arab Emirates, and the competition this year will be particularly featuring the participation of the best riders and champions, such as the current world champion and winner of the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France, Tadej Pogačar, as well as the women’s Giro d'Italia winner and the first version's winner of the United Tour for women, Eliza Longo Borghini."
